Opinion

AbuSayedMahfuz For State Representative

District 5 (North Detroit-Hamtramck and Highland Park)

Why would you think I could be the best candidate:

(1)   I speak, read and write 5 languages which languages represent most of the communities of the district. This means I can communicate the best with most of the community people.

(2)   I have the highest academic education; my higher education may help to serve the district better.

(3)   I understand and appreciate most of the nationalities of the district, visited and lived in over 60 cities in 9 countries, visited Vatican city in April 2008, I often visit and attend Church, Mosques and Temples, I deeply understand and appreciate differences and similarities in different faiths including Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Hinduism etc. which helped me understand and appreciate the beauty of diversity in people, as our district is a diverse community, I am the best candidate who would communicate and understand all kind of people.

(4)   The most priority plan I do have to keep my community moving forward is Youth Advancement. Our Youth are the important in many ways for present and future. If you can properly utilize strength of our Youth crime will be reduced, community will be developed, and future will be brighter. Youth either need to be in school or at work or at least helping the community.
